How a group of Australian surfers are helping to develop a surf industry in India

Gold Coast based charity Boards for Billions was set up to raise funds and collect gear to help set up a community run surf school and social enterprise in the Indian fishing village of Covelong that has been ravished by natural disasters, youth alcohol & drug problems and poverty. The group was recently awarded a $19,000 Commonwealth grant through the Australia-India Council to help develop a business plan, and are hoping to transform the town into India’s first viable and thriving surf village.
